Mushroom Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. fresh mushrooms
    1/2 c. butter or oleo
    1/2 c. plain flour
    1 envelope onion soup mix
    1 qt. boiling water
    1 3/4 c. milk
    1/4 c. half and half
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Separate mushroom caps and stems; slice caps thin.
    Finely chop stems.
    In 3-quart sauce pot melt the oleo.
    Add mushrooms and stirring often, cook over brisk heat so mushrooms don't exude their juice.
    Over low heat, stir in flour and onion soup mix; stir in boiling water, 2 cups at a time, keeping smooth.
    Cover and simmer 10 minutes.
    Add milk, half and half, salt and pepper.
    Reheat. Makes 2 quarts.
