Chili Con Carne - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 large onion, sliced
    1 green pepper, chopped
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 Tbsp. chili powder
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 can kidney beans
Preparation
    Brown ground beef, onion, green pepper.
    Drain off any fat that accumulates.
    Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, salt, pepper and chili powder.
    Cover and simmer for 45 minutes.
    Drain kidney beans, reserving liquid.
    Add kidney beans to meat mixture. Simmer, covered, for 45 minutes more.
    6 servings.
