Maple Cream Balls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. maple syrup
2 tsp. butter or butter substitute
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2/3 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Boil syrup and salt to soft ball stage (234\u00b0 to 238\u00b0).
Remove from heat.
Cool to room temperature.
Add butter.
Add flavoring. Beat until creamy.
Add 1/2 the nuts.
Continue beating until mixture is sufficiently firm to mold into small balls.
Roll balls in remainder of nuts.
Place on waxed paper to harden.
