Nut Sticks - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. ground walnuts
2 egg whites
1/2 tsp. rum
3 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. warm milk with 1 tsp. sugar
2 egg yolks
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. water
1/2 tsp. almond
1/2 lb. butter or margarine
1 oz. cake yeast
1 tsp. salt
5 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation

Put ground nuts in frying pan with sugar, egg whites and water; heat until sugar is melted; add flavoring.
Set aside.
Mix flour and butter as you would for pie crust.
Add yeast mixture. Warm milk in small saucepan with 1 tablespoon sugar and crumbled yeast.
Add yolks, salt and more sugar.
Add to flour mixture and mix with hands.
