Stuffed Green Peppers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 large green peppers
    1 lb. ground beef
    2 c. dry bread or cracker crumbs
    2 Tbsp. chopped onion
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 (16 oz.) can tomato sauce
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Cut thin slices from each pepper.
    Remove all seed and membranes.
    Wash inside and outside.
    Heat to boiling 2 cups water and 1 teaspoon salt.
    Add peppers.
    Cook 5 minutes and drain.
    Mix remaining ingredients.
    Lightly stuff pepper with meat mixture.
    Stand peppers upright in baking dish.
    Cover and bake 45 minutes.
    Uncover and cook 15 minutes longer.
