Sponge Cake Delight - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs, separated
    1 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. strong cold coffee
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. cake flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    12 oz. whipped topping
    1 1/2 c. toasted coconut
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 300\u00b0.
    Grease bottom only of two 8-inch cake pans.
    Beat egg yolks until light lemon colored.
    Add salt, sugar and coffee. Beat well until smooth.
    Slowly add the flour and baking powder.
    Beat egg whites until very stiff.
    Fold carefully into yolk mix until no white shows.
    Divide batter evenly between the two prepared round pans. Smooth out if needed. Bake at 300\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
    Then raise temperature to 375\u00b0 and continue baking for 30 minutes.
    Cool slightly.
    Turn out on rack. Place one layer on cake plate.
