Refrigerator Bread And Butter Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. vinegar
    4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. plain salt
    2 tsp. turmeric
    1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
    1 1/2 tsp. mustard seed
    5 large onions
    cucumbers
Preparation
    Put first 6 ingredients in pot and bring to a boil.
    Cool. Slice enough cucumbers to make a gallon.
    Slice onions thin, mix with cucumbers and pack in gallon jar.
    Pour cooled mixture over cucumbers and onions.
    Cover and put in refrigerator.
    Will be ready to eat in two weeks.
    Will keep in refrigerator for 1 year.
