Apple Chili Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. cut up tomatoes
    8 large onions, chopped
    4 peppers, chopped
    6 c. vinegar
    6 c. sugar
    4 Tbsp. salt
    8 large quartered unpeeled and ground apples
    2 Tbsp. cinnamon
    1 Tbsp. cloves (in bag)
Preparation
    Cook tomatoes and strain off some of the juice.
    Add onions, peppers, vinegar, sugar and salt; cook 2 hours.
    Add apples, cinnamon and cloves.
    Cook until thick.
    Makes about 10 pints. May be frozen.
