Old Fashioned Hermits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. packed brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. raisins
    3/4 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Sift together flour, baking powder, spices and salt. Cream the shortening, sugars and eggs together.
    Blend in flour mixture. Add raisins and walnuts.
    Mix well.
    Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
    Makes about 3 dozen.
