Walnut Crown Coffee Cake - cooking recipe

1/3 c. ground walnuts
3 Tbsp. sifted light brown sugar
2 c. sifted flour
1 3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg, beaten
1 c. buttermilk
2/3 c. melted butter
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Combine walnuts and sugar in a bowl.
Butter a 2 1/2-quart Kugelhupf or Bundt pan well and coat it with the walnut and sugar mixture.
Sift together dry ingredients (flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt).
Mix egg, buttermilk, butter and vanilla in large bowl.
Beat in flour mixture until batter is smooth.
Pour into pan and bake in moderate oven (350\u00b0) for one hour or until a cake tester comes out clean.
The cake may fall slightly.
