Peanut Butter Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large pkg. vanilla pie filling
    2 egg whites
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 baked pie shell
    1/2 c. peanut butter
    1 c. ground peanuts
    2 tsp. sugar
Preparation
    Cook pudding as directed.
    Into hot pudding, stir
    1/2 cup peanut butter.
    Into baked pie shell, sprinkle 3/4 cup ground peanuts.
    Pour pudding (cooled) over nuts.
    Add all other ground nuts.
    Beat egg whites for meringue.
    Add 2 teaspoons sugar and 1 teaspoon cream of tartar.
    Beat until stiff.
    Put on pie and bake just until lightly browned on top.
