Nanny'S Baruzzi (Spaghetti Soup) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1 large onion
    4 cans Del Monte sauce (8 oz.)
    pinch of oregano
    salt to taste
    1 lb. spaghetti, broken into 2-inch pieces
    3 to 4 ladles cooked spaghetti water
    grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Preparation
    Cut up onion and with oil, saute in a medium size pot until onion is browned.
    Remove onion.
    (Leave onion in pot.)
    Put in sauce and oregano.
    Stir and cook on medium flame.
