Shepherd'S Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 lb. ground beef
    salt and pepper
    1 (10 1/2 oz.) can tomato soup
    5 medium potatoes, cooked
    1/2 c. warm milk
    1 beaten egg
Preparation
    Saute onions and beef until browned.
    Add salt and pepper. Add soup; pour into greased 1 1/2-quart casserole.
    Mash potatoes; add milk, egg, salt and pepper.
    Spoon in mounds over meat.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Serves 6.
    May be topped with cheese. Add cheese during last few minutes of baking.
