Barbecue Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. onion, finely chopped
    1/4 c. cider vinegar
    1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    2/3 to 3/4 c. brown sugar
    1 c. ketchup
    3 dashes Tabasco sauce
    1/4 tsp. onion salt or 1/8 tsp. onion powder
    1/4 tsp. paprika
    black pepper to taste
    1 tsp. mustard (dry)
    1/2 to 3/4 tsp. liquid smoke
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients and heat (but do not boil) to blend flavors.
    Use as a basting sauce for meat or as a dipping sauce. Will taste best if refrigerated for a few days to blend flavors. Keep unused portion refrigerated.
    Will keep for quite awhile.
