Santa'S Whiskers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter, softened
    1 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla or rum flavoring
    2 1/2 c. flour
    3/4 c. finely chopped maraschino cherries
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
    2/3 c. flaked coconut
Preparation
    Cream the butter and sugar together.
    Blend in milk and flavoring.
    Stir in flour, cherries and pecans.
    Divide dough into 2 pieces.
    Form each piece into a \"log\" about 8 inches long.
    Roll each section of dough in the flaked coconut.
    Wrap each section in waxed paper or Saran Wrap.
    Chill overnight.
    Cut in 1-inch slices and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake 12 minutes at 375\u00b0.
