Slaw For A Crowd - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 large cabbage
4 medium onions, sliced
1 large bell pepper, sliced
1 small can pimentos, cut in strips
1 pt. white vinegar
2 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. mustard seed
1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
1/2 tsp. turmeric
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
-
Place cabbage, onions, bell pepper and pimentos in a gallon jar.
In a saucepan, combine last 6 ingredients and bring to a boil.
Pour over top 4 ingredients already in a gallon jar.
When cool, let stand in refrigerator at least 12 hours before serving. This will keep in refrigerator for 1 week.
Serves approximately 20 people.
