Piccalilli - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 peck green tomatoes
    1 cabbage head
    3 red or green peppers
    8 large onions
    1 c. salt
    2 qt. vinegar
    2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 lb. mustard seed
    2 Tbsp. cinnamon
    2 Tbsp. black pepper
    1 Tbsp. cloves
    1 Tbsp. allspice
    2 Tbsp. ginger
    1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
Preparation
    Chop and mix together the green tomatoes, cabbage, onions, peppers and salt.
    Let stand overnight.
