Rhubarb Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. rhubarb
    1/2 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    3 or 4 drops red food coloring
    1/4 c. water or so
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 1/2 c. oatmeal
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. nuts
    1 tsp. soda
    touch of salt
Preparation
    Combine first 4 ingredients.
    Add water and cook just until thick.
    Combine remaining ingredients.
    Mix flour mixture together.
    Place half of mixture in bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan. Top with rhubarb mixture, then cover with remaining flour mixture. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes at 350\u00b0.
