Cherry Pies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. sugar
    1/8 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 Tbsp. flour
    juice (from cherries)
    fruit (from cherries)
    1/4 tsp. red food coloring
    1/4 tsp. almond flavoring
    1 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
    In a saucepan, combine sugar, salt, cornstarch, fruit juice and flour.
    Stir until well blended. Remove from heat and stir in fruit and coloring; mix well and add flavoring and butter.
    Pour into pastry-lined pan.
    Cover with pastry.
    Seal edges and flute.
    Bake 35 to 40 minutes.
