Venetian Rice And Peas - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 slices bacon
3 Tbsp. butter
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas
2 c. chicken broth
dash of pepper
1 small onion, chopped
3/4 c. uncooked rice
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
Preparation

Saute bacon in frying pan.
Remove bacon and grease.
Saute onion in butter; add frozen peas.
Cook 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
Add rice and cook until well coated with butter. Pour in chicken broth, salt and pepper.
Cover and simmer.
Stir occasionally for 20 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.
Toss with crumbled bacon and Parmesan cheese.
