Martha Washington'S Fudge Frosting - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. water
1 Tbsp. light corn syrup
dash of salt
4 sq. unsweetened chocolate
4 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Combine sugar, water, syrup and salt in a saucepan.
Bring quickly to a boil, stirring only until sugar is dissolved.
Then boil until a little forms a very soft ball in cold water.
Remove from fire and cool to lukewarm (110\u00b0) without stirring.
Melt chocolate over boiling water; add butter.
Add syrup gradually and mix well.
Continue stirring until smooth and, if it gets too hard, place over boiling water and stir until of the right consistency to spread.
Add vanilla after the syrup has been added.
