Custard Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 slightly beaten eggs
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/2 c. milk, scalded
    1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
    ground nutmeg
Preparation
    Blend eggs, sugar, salt and vanilla.
    Gradually stir in scalded milk.
    Pour into pastry shell.
    Sprinkle with nutmeg. Bake in a moderate oven (350\u00b0) for 35 to 40 minutes or until knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean.
    Cool on rack, then chill.
