Turkish Meatballs(Kofte) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1/2 c. bread crumbs
    1 medium onion, finely chopped
    1 egg
    pepper and salt to taste
    1 c. vegetable oil (for frying)
Preparation
    Mix well ground beef, bread crumbs, onion, egg, black pepper and salt.
    Shape into 1-inch balls and flatten slightly.
    Fry both sides in hot oil.
    Serve warm or cold with French fried potatoes or rice.
    Great as a meal or an hors d'oeuvre.
