Ginger Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 to 2 lb. chicken strips
    1 medium piece of ginger
    garlic salt
    1 can water chestnuts
    1 medium onion
    1 pkg. pea pods
    12 oz. fresh sliced mushrooms
    soy sauce to taste
    water
    flour
    vegetable oil
Preparation
    Cook chicken in vegetable oil with ginger (cut ginger into small pieces) and garlic salt.
    Add onion and mushrooms and cook until done.
    Add water chestnuts and pea pods and heat through. Add water and flour combined to make a thick sauce.
    Add soy sauce. Serve with rice.
