Damson Preserves - cooking recipe
Ingredients

8 c. chopped Damsons
6 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. water and sugar
Preparation

Wash, drain, seed and chop Damsons.
Then measure.
Add water and sugar.\tBring to boil.\tCook to jellying point.
Put into hot jars and seal at once.
I always seed my Damsons.
I test the juice in a saucer and when it gets as thick as I want it, I put into jars.\tI like the juice to jell.
My favorite!
