Caramel Frosting - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. unsalted butter (1 stick)
1/3 c. packed dark brown sugar
2 Tbsp. molasses
2 c. confectioners sugar
1/4 c. heavy cream
Preparation

Heat the butter, brown sugar and molasses together over low heat in a medium sized saucepan until the butter is liquid and the sugar has dissolved.
Cool.
Beat in the confectioners sugar and the heavy cream alternately, a little at a time, until the frosting is just smooth and thick enough to spread.
Makes 3 cups.
