Picante Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. skinned tomatoes
    3 medium onions
    6 green peppers
    4 cloves garlic
    10 medium jalapeno peppers
    2 tsp. dry chili powder
    2 tsp. canning salt
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Grind onions, green peppers, garlic and jalapeno peppers. Add tomatoes, chopped.
    Simmer 20 minutes.
    Pour into jars and process in cold pack canner for 20 minutes.
    If you like thicker sauce, mix 4 teaspoons cornstarch with tomato juice and add to mixture during last 2 or 3 minutes of cooking stage.
