Potato Onion Soup With Cheddar Cheese - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1 large clove garlic or garlic powder
    2 large onions
    4 large potatoes, peeled and sliced
    2 c. chicken broth
    1/2 tsp. salt or to taste
    dash of pepper
    1 1/2 c. milk (may need a little more)
    8 oz. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
    2 large stalks celery, sliced
Preparation
    Cook garlic, potatoes, onions and celery, stirring occasionally, 10 to 15 minutes.
    Add broth, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer 20 minutes or until tender.
    Stir in milk and add cheese.
    Makes about 4 servings.
