Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. boiling water
1 c. white Karo syrup
1 pt. raw peanuts
1/2 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. soda
Preparation

Combine sugar, water and syrup in a heavy pan. Cook mixture, without stirring, to 240\u00b0. Add peanuts and salt and continue cooking to 290\u00b0. Stir continuously after adding peanuts. Remove from heat and add butter, vanilla and soda. Stir rapidly until soda stops foaming. Working quickly, spread onto buttered cookie sheet. Crack into pieces when completely cool.
