Danish Puff - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sifted flour
    1/2 c. butter
    2 tbsp. water
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. water
    1 tsp. almond flavoring
    1 c. sifted flour
    3 eggs
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350.
    Cut first 1/2 cup butter into first cup of flour.
    Sprinkle with water and mix with fork.
    Round into ball and divide in half.
    Pat into 2 long strips 12x3 inches, 3 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
    Mix second 1/2 cup butter and water; bring to rolling boil; add almond and remove from heat. Stir in second cup of flour and keep from lumping.
    wWen smooth and thick, add 1 egg at a time, beating until smooth.
    Spread evenly over each pastry.
    Bake 60 minutes or until topping is crisp and nicely browned.
    Frost with powdered sugar icing and sprinkle with chopped nuts.
