Banana Brazil Nut Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. soft butter
2 eggs
1/4 c. buttermilk
3/4 c. chopped Brazil nuts or almonds
slightly sweetened whipped cream
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/4 c. mashed bananas (2)
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

In a bowl, combine flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder. In a larger bowl, cream together butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition. Beat in bananas.
Add flour mixture, buttermilk and vanilla.
Beat until blended.
Stir in nuts.
Turn batter into 2 greased and lightly floured 9-inch layer cake pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes or until tester inserted near the center comes out clean. Let stand in pans on wire rack for 5 minutes.
Turn out.
Turn top side up.
Cool.
Spread whipped cream on top and sides with remaining cream.
Slice.
Serve.
