Lentil Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. dry lentils
8 c. water
1 tsp. salt
1 lb. Kielbasa sausage, cut into 1/2 inch slices
1 (14 oz.) can chicken broth
1 (10 3/4 oz.) cream of potato soup
3 Tbsp. roasted garlic butter (Land O' Lakes)
1 (14 1/2 oz.) can diced tomatoes with green pepper and onions
Preparation

Combine lentils, water, salt, and sausage in a Dutch oven or soup pot.
Bring to a boil and then reduce heat to medium.
Cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add broth and continue cooking for another 15 minutes.
Add potato soup, butter, and tomatoes.
Reduce heat to low and continue cooking, stirring occasionally, for about 30 minutes or until lentils are tender. Add water or more chicken broth, if soup gets too thick.
