Gold Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. milk
    1 egg
    vanilla
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar over low heat.
    Add milk and cook very carefully for short time.
    Remove from heat and add mixture slowly to 1 beaten egg.
    Add vanilla.
    Excellent on a piece of leftover cake.
