Saucepan Scotchies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cube margarine
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Grease bottom of a 13 x 9-inch pan with oleo.
    Melt oleo in a saucepan. Remove from heat. Add sugar and blend. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well. Stir in flour, vanilla and baking powder. Mix thoroughly. Add nuts and stir lightly to combine.
    Pour into prepared pan. Bake in moderate oven at 350\u00b0 for approximately 30 minutes. Do not overbake. Cool in pan. Cut into bars. Frost, if desired.
