Lizzies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 stick oleo
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
3 c. plain flour
3 tsp. soda
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 Tbsp. milk
1/2 c. red wine (Red Rose Port wine)
1 lb. pecans, chopped
1 lb. candied pineapple
1 lb. candied cherries
1 lb. dates
Preparation

Cream oleo and sugar.
Add eggs and add liquids and sifted ingredients alternately.
Use part of flour to dredge chopped fruits and nuts.
Drop on greased cookie sheets and bake in 325\u00b0 oven for 20 minutes.
Makes 16 dozen.
Excellent cookies at Christmastime.
