Boiled Custard(At Least 160 Years Old) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 c. milk
    4 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. cornstarch
    3 eggs
    pinch of salt
    1 tsp. flavoring
Preparation
    Mix cornstarch, salt and sugar.
    Add eggs and beat well.
    Add milk.
    Cook in double boiler, stirring often.
    Be careful not to overcook.
    When mixture coats spoon, remove from heat; cool.
    Add flavoring.
    Dried orange rind, grated, may be used.
