Oatmeal Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. milk, scalded
    1 c. rolled oats
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    2 Tbsp. molasses
    2 1/2 tsp. yeast
    1/4 c. lukewarm water
    2 1/2 c. flour (about)
Preparation
    Scald milk and pour over oats.
    Add sugars, salt, shortening and molasses.
    Let stand until lukewarm.
    Dissolve yeast in water with 1/2 teaspoon sugar and add to first ingredients.
    Add enough flour to make a smooth, elastic dough.
    Let rise once.
    Put in greased bread pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 to 400\u00b0 approximately 15 minutes until done, large loaves take a little longer.
