Mom'S Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. self-rising flour
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 1/2 c. vegetable oil
    1 (1 oz.) bottle red food coloring
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 tsp. white vinegar
    1 egg
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients with an electric mixer.
    Spray 3 (9-inch) round cake pans with nonstick coating.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
    Test for doneness with a toothpick.
    Cool layers in pans 10 minutes.
