Icebox Bran Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. all-bran cereal
    1 c. boiling water
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 eggs, beaten
    2 c. buttermilk
    2 1/2 c. plain flour
    2 1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. all-bran
Preparation
    Pour boiling
    water over 1 cup of bran; set aside to cool. Cream the shortening, sugar and beaten eggs.
    Add cooled mixture, buttermilk, flour soda and salt.
    Stir in 2 cups bran.
    Cover and store in refrigerator.
    Will keep for a month or more.
    Use as needed and bake at 375\u00b0.
