Large Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. butter
2 c. brown sugar
3 eggs
2 1/2 c. applesauce
4 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cloves
3 tsp. soda

Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs one at a time.
Mix well, then add applesauce.
Sift dry ingredients together and add slowly to mixture.
Mix well.
Bake in greased tube pan for 1 hour at 325\u00b0.
Candied fruits, raisins and nuts may be added for fruit cake.
