Cheddar Carrots - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. carrots
    1/4 c. butter (1/2 stick)
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1/2 c. crushed crackers
    1/2 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
Preparation
    Peel and slice carrots.
    Cook in small amount of boiling water, 15 to 20 minutes.
    Drain.
    In large skillet, melt butter.
    Add onion and saute until tender.
    Add carrots.
    Combine cheese, cracker crumbs, salt and pepper.
    Place half of carrots in a 1-quart casserole, then half of cheese cracker mixture.
    Repeat layers.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
