Apple-Cinnamon Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 or 5 fresh apples, peeled
    1 c. water
    1 c. sugar or less
    cinnamon
    dry yellow cake mix
    1 c. chopped pecans (optional)
    1 1/2 sticks margarine
Preparation
    Slice apples. Spread in sprayed oblong dish. Add water and sugar. Sprinkle cinnamon over this. Add cake mix on top. Sprinkle again with cinnamon. Add pecans. Slice margarine on top. Bake as is at 350\u00b0 to 375\u00b0 about 35 minutes. Cool. Cover with frozen topping, thawed.
