Hot Sweet Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 gal. sour pickles
1/2 lb. fresh jalapenos
16 cloves garlic (1 bulb)
7 c. sugar
1/2 c. salad oil
2 c. white vinegar
Preparation

Cut sour pickles and jalapenos crosswise into rounds (seeding jalapenos is optional).
Peel garlic, leaving cloves whole.
Heat vinegar, sugar and oil to just below boiling.
Pour over pickles, jalapenos and garlic in a large bowl.
Marinate in refrigerator for five days, stirring occasionally.
Put into smaller jars and keep refrigerated.
