Sherbet Punch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. orange juice
    1/2 c. lemon juice
    3 1/2 c. pineapple juice
    3 c. sugar
    1 qt. water
    1 qt. chilled ginger ale
    3 pt. lemon sherbet
    ice cubes
Preparation
    Boil sugar and water for 5 minutes; let cool.
    Add to chilled orange, lemon and pineapple juices.
    Pour over ice in punch bowl. Add ginger ale.
    Float scoops of sherbet on top.
    Serves 40.
