Hasty Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. brown sugar
    3 c. boiling water
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1/2 c. sweet milk
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 c. raisins
Preparation
    Place in cake pan 1 cup brown sugar, boiling water and butter. Make a batter of remaining ingredients.
    Drop by spoonfuls into mixture in pan.
    Bake about 20 minutes at 350\u00b0.
