Ingredients

1/2 c. sugar
1 c. flour
3/4 c. chopped nuts
2 Tbsp. salad oil
3/4 c. brown sugar, packed
1/8 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. cocoa
1 3/4 c. hot water
Preparation

Combine granulated sugar, flour, 2 tablespoons cocoa, baking powder and salt in mixing bowl.
Add nuts.
Stir in milk, oil and vanilla; spread into an 8-inch square pan.
Mix brown sugar, 1/4 cup cocoa, salt and hot water.
Pour over unbaked batter.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes.
