White Christmas Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 Tbsp. unflavored Knox gelatine, softened in 1/4 c. cold water and set aside
1/2 c. sugar
4 Tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. milk
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. almond extract
1/2 c. heavy whipping cream
3 egg whites, beaten with 1 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 c. more sugar
1 c. moist coconut
1 (9-inch) pastry shell, baked
Preparation

In saucepan, combine 1/2 cup sugar, flour and salt. Gradually stir in milk. Cook over low heat until boils 1 minute. Remove from heat and stir in gelatine. Beat until smooth. Cool. Blend in flavors. Fold in whipped cream (already whipped) and carefully fold in meringue, then coconut. Put in baked pastry shell and sprinkle top with coconut. Garnish with maraschino cherries, if desired.
