Angel Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 cake yeast
2 Tbsp. lukewarm water
5 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. sugar
1 c. shortening
2 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Dissolve yeast in water.
In bowl, sift flour with other dry ingredients.
Cut in shortening; add buttermilk, then yeast.
Stir until flour is dampened.
Knead on floured board 1/2 minute.
Roll out 1/2-inch thickness; cut with biscuit cutter.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
No rising necessary.
This dough can be refrigerated and used as needed up to a week.
