Refrigerator Rolls(4 Dozen) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. whole milk
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening
    1 quick-acting yeast
    1/4 c. lukewarm water
    1 Tbsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    8 c. enriched flour + 1 c.
Preparation
    Scald milk with sugar and shortening.
    Cool to lukewarm.
    Then add yeast thoroughly dissolved in lukewarm water.
    With the new fast-action yeast, you can use it according to the instructions on the package; eliminate the 1/4 cup warm water and mix the dry yeast in with the flour.
    Add 8 cups of flour.
    Beat well.
    Let rise until double in bulk, then add salt, soda and baking powder.
    Add enough flour (about 1 cup) to make soft dough.
    Place in bowl, grease surface of dough, cover and place in refrigerator.
    Make rolls when wanted.
    Will keep 1 week to 10 days.
