Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. corn meal
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 c. cream-style corn
    3 eggs
    1/4 c. bacon drippings
    1/4 lb. hoop cheese, grated
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 c. sweet milk
    chopped hot pepper (jalapeno, to suit taste)
    dash of red cayenne pepper (if prefer hot)
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients.
    Cook in large iron skillet at 350\u00b0 until done (about 30 or 40 minutes).
